I was charged $1040 for a new opener installed couple of days ago. Then I googled on that same opener and found out it costs only under $300 I Home Depot. The technician called saying he was 30 minutes away. He arrived on time. We talked then he closed and opened the garage door. He inspected the door thoroughly, then he told me the issues he saw. After putting a price on each item, we discussed options. This is a 21 year old garage door system which has all original parts. I decided to proceed and he went to work. He said it would be about 2 hours, and it was. It needed quite a bit of new parts. After he finished, he showed me what was done, demonstrated the new opener, re coded the outside keypad and went over the annual lubrication recommendation. Pretty simple. The new system is great. No noises, squeaks or vibration. It’s quiet. It really needed the upgrade and I am glad I called Precision to take care of it.
