The tech was amazing and very professional. I was quite surprised at the cost, especially the transmitter. I was charged $532.00 for transmitter installation, and $394.00 for the transmitter. The exact same transmitter is $64.00 on Amazon. Please call me to discuss. This is quite a markup.

Did not have the correct springs to fix my garage door. If you have a 1 piece floor to ceiling extention springs system, look elsewhere.

Review:

The tech wouldn't even attempt to fix the door which was an easy repair because the door was too old. Even after I agreed to purchase a new door he would not offer any help to at least get the door closed so my family had to spend the night knowing anyone could acsess the house trough the garage at anyti. Also never sent me an estimate on a new door like he said he did.

You are rediculosly exxpensive. The charge for house call is ok BUT charging me extra $40+ repropraming fee is leaves a bad taste. All yr tech did was press one yellow button and he used my step ladder.

Review:

I am very disappoint as to how my situation was handled. I was told that the door springs could be repaired/replaced (going up and down unevenly). Tech then cut the cords and started dismantling the door structure only then for him to come back to me to state that they don't have the correct size springs, would never have those, and now they have to re-build the entire door for close to $2,000. The door was now not able to operate and the tech had no solution except to now charge me a huge amount $ and to rebuild it the way he mentioned initial that he wanted to do, and described as "the new way for doors to operate" at the very start of this appt. He wanted to then leave me with an non operating door for another day. I felt FORCED to pay this huge unexpected amount of money for something that was not agreed upon to begin with. IT WAS A SWTICH UP SCAM. Again, he told me he could fix my door as it should have been, replacing the springs, but then after taking it all apart and the door not working now, IT ALL CHANGED. This felt very much like a scam and I warn others to be aware of this type of sale technique and scam by this company. I should have used someone else!! I suggest you do so!!!

I was having trouble getting my garage door down so called for an estimate. Was told about 750.00 to replace the opener and another 950.00 to replace the installation in the wall above the door itself. Too high in my eyes so I went for a second opinion. That company replaced the opener circuit board for 240.00. I guess working on commission justifies hiking up the price three-fold. NOT FOR ME.

-

A Response from: Jim Rapp

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today regarding your feedback. Again, we apologize for missing that the circuit board needed to be replaced. We have passed this information on to upper management for training purposes. Also, our technicians do not work on commission and they only give the prices that the company determines. We appreciate the opportunity to make this right for you and hope the resolution was satisfactory to you.

The one star was only because of the prompt service call I received, other than that it would have been "no stars" at all.. I had Precision come to my home to give me an estimate for a broken spring on my garage door, Precision did previous work on my garage door in the past..I also had two other companies give me estimates as well.. I was shocked to see the HUGE difference in the quotes I received.. Precision said I had to replace both springs, the bearings were gone and the rollers should be replaced as well.. Your quote was for over $1,300. WHAT, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Second quote was to replace both springs only, stating that the bearings and rollers were just fine and did not need to be replaced. That quote was for $244.00.. Third quote said both springs needed to get replaced, that both bearings should be replaced the same time the springs are, and there was nothing wrong with the rollers.. That estimate was for $389.00.. I chose to go with the third quote, trusting that the springs and bearings probably should be replaced at the same time. I cannot believe that there was such a dramatic difference in the two other quotes compared to the one I got from Precision.. I realize there are different labor, material and convenience charges that may differ from company to company, but $1,300.00 vs. $389.00, minus the rollers.. Are you kidding me?? I am offended that Precision would try to take advantage of me like that, and obviously think that I might not think to get other estimates.. I realize we have all been going through some very rough times over the past year and a half, personally and businesswise.. But this was ABSURD, and not the way to make up for lost wages or the bottomline.. I dont know if this was a result of an employee taking advantage, or the company putting pressure on your employees to make up for LOST BUSINESS.. Im sure the "buck will be passed to the employee as always" either way.. But this incident LOST business for your company, it didnt make any at all.. Needless to say, this has caused me to lose ALL confidence to EVER having Precision do work for me ever again..

The salesman sold me garage doors for 4, 500k. The salesman/ installer was the same person who failed to tell me the garage doors wouldn't work when he left because we didnt have electric. As he finished the job he told me I would have to call an electrician in order for the doors to work, an extra 600 to 1000k I didnt expect. Had the technician made me aware I wouldn't have purchased the doors. I found it misleading, I'm a single wo.en and didnt budget it nor am I mechanically inclined.

A Precision employee came out to fix my garage door. By the end of looking into everything, they told me I needed a new motor, there's no way it can be fixed, and the price point starts at $599. I decided to wait, and look into it more. Found another company that would charge $350 for a new motor/installation/warranty, and had them come out. They loosened a bolt that was jammed, reset the system, garage door immediately started working and I was charged $65 for everything. The nice gentleman said we don't need a new motor, it's a simple fix. Either Precision rips people off, or they need to train their employees better.

We had the technician here today junev28 Carlos we were very happy with the service he told us what needed to be done. Gave us options not pushy at all we decided to go with the new motor. The job was done quickly. Took the time to program the cars. Explained everything about the new unit we have always for the last 20 years dealt with this company here in Florida and in Nevada. Always the same service. Highly recommend. Tried to give it 5 stars the last star would not click.

Review:

The quote I received over the phone was $69-$118 per spring installed. The salesman/technician that arrived quoted $118-$329 depending on what level quality of spring I wanted. I said I want a direct replacement, which turned out to be $118 spring. (Other options were powder coated springs and things that aren’t necessary) The spring that was install is 6” shorter than the old spring, so obviously not the same. I questioned it, told him I didn’t want to change it to a lesser quality and he told me it would be fine. When the invoice was provided for payment, I was then informed it only has a 90 day warranty. You can read between the lines...tell you one thing, sell you garbage and pray on uninformed homeowners. If you only back the product you are selling for 90 days, than you know it garbage. Thanks Precision, I’m in sales and understand it’s part of the business...but that sales model is unacceptable. Hope this review is helpful...
